The 24-Hour Cancellation Window

Evie's Dreamland offers a 24-hour cancellation window for all orders. This means that from the moment your order is successfully placed and confirmed — as evidenced by the order confirmation email sent to you — you have up to 24 consecutive hours to request a cancellation and receive a full refund.

How the 24-Hour Window Works

When Does It Start?

Your 24-hour cancellation window begins at the exact date and time shown on your order confirmation email. This is the moment we record your order as placed in our system.

When Does It End?

The window closes exactly 24 hours after your order was placed. For example, if your order was placed at 2:30 PM Eastern Time on a Monday, your cancellation window closes at 2:30 PM Eastern Time on the following Tuesday.

Does It Include Weekends?

Yes. The 24-hour window runs continuously and includes weekends and public holidays. The clock does not pause on non-business days. If your order was placed on a Friday evening, your 24-hour window closes Saturday evening.

What Time Zone Applies?

All times are recorded and calculated in Eastern Time (ET), the local time zone of our business headquarters in New York. Your order confirmation email will show the timestamp in Eastern Time.

Why There Is a 24-Hour Limit

Our fulfillment process begins very quickly after an order is placed. Within 24 hours of receiving your order, we submit it to our fulfillment center, which begins picking, packing, and preparing your items for shipment. Once an order enters this fulfillment stage, it is very difficult — and in many cases impossible — to intercept and stop it before it ships. The 24-hour window is therefore the realistic timeframe within which we can reliably cancel and stop fulfillment. We are transparent about this limitation because we want you to have accurate expectations, not because we wish to restrict your rights.

Act Quickly: If you realize you need to cancel your order, please contact us as soon as possible — ideally within the first few hours of placing your order, and no later than the 24-hour deadline. Early cancellation requests give us the best chance of successfully stopping your order before it enters the fulfillment pipeline. If you are close to the 24-hour boundary, please use the email method described in Section 3 and mark your email as urgent.

How to Request a Cancellation

To cancel your order, you must contact us directly using one of the methods listed below. We do not offer self-service cancellations through your customer account at this time. Cancellation requests must be received by our team within the 24-hour window to be eligible for a full refund. The date and time your request reaches us — not the date and time you begin drafting your message — determines whether your request falls within the cancellation window.

Method 1 — Email Recommended

Send an email to our customer service team at eviesdreamlands@gmail.com. Email is our primary method for processing cancellation requests and provides you with a written record of when your request was submitted.

What to Include in Your Email:
  • Subject line: "URGENT: Order Cancellation — [Your Order Number]"
  • Your full name as it appears on the order
  • Your order number (found in your order confirmation email)
  • The email address used to place the order
  • If requesting a partial cancellation, specify the exact item(s) you wish to cancel by name and quantity

Method 2 — Live Chat

You may also contact us through the live chat feature available on our website. Live chat is available during our business hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time (ET).

Important Note on Live Chat: If your cancellation request is submitted via live chat outside of business hours, it will not be reviewed until the next business day. If your 24-hour cancellation window closes before the next business day, please send an email instead to ensure your request is timestamped within the eligible period. Email is monitored more frequently and is therefore more reliable for time-sensitive cancellation requests.

Save Your Cancellation Request: Keep a copy of your cancellation email or a screenshot of your live chat conversation for your records. This serves as proof that you submitted your cancellation request within the eligible window, which is important if there is ever a question about the timing of your request. If you do not receive an acknowledgement from us within 4 business hours of submitting your request, please follow up immediately to confirm it was received.

Cancellation Requests After 24 Hours

Once the 24-hour cancellation window has passed, your order has very likely entered active processing at our fulfillment center. At this stage, we cannot guarantee that cancellation is possible. We want to be honest with you about what is and is not feasible after the window closes, rather than making promises we cannot keep.

What Happens to Late Cancellation Requests

If the Order Has Not Yet Shipped

If you contact us after the 24-hour window but before your order has shipped, we will make every reasonable effort to cancel the order on your behalf. We cannot guarantee success in these cases, but we will attempt to intercept the order at the fulfillment center. If we are able to cancel it, we will issue a full refund. If we are unable to stop the order before it ships, it will be delivered to you and you will need to follow our Refund Policy to initiate a return.

If the Order Has Already Shipped

Once a tracking number has been assigned to your order and it has been handed to the shipping carrier, it is no longer possible for us to recall or intercept the shipment. We are unable to cancel orders that are in transit. If you do not want the item, you must wait to receive it and then initiate a return under our Refund Policy. Please note that return shipping costs may apply in these circumstances.

If You Refuse Delivery

If you refuse to accept delivery of a package, it will be returned to us by the carrier. Once we receive the returned package and confirm that it is in its original, undamaged condition, we will process a refund for the product cost. However, the original shipping cost and any return shipping costs incurred as a result of the refused delivery are non-refundable unless the return is due to a defect, damage, or our error. We will notify you by email when the returned package is received and when your refund is processed.

We Will Always Try to Help: Even if your cancellation request falls outside the 24-hour window, please still contact us. While we cannot guarantee cancellation at that stage, we will review your situation individually and do everything within our operational capabilities to assist you. We assess every late cancellation request on a case-by-case basis and will communicate openly with you about what is and is not possible.

Refunds for Approved Cancellations

When your cancellation request is received and approved within the 24-hour window, we will issue a full refund with no deductions, no cancellation fees, and no penalties of any kind.

What Our Refund Covers

Product Cost

The full price you paid for each product in the cancelled order, including any discounts applied at checkout.

Shipping Costs Paid

Any shipping fees you paid at checkout will also be refunded in full for cancellations approved within the 24-hour window, since the order has not yet shipped.

Sales Tax Collected

Any sales tax collected on your order at checkout will be refunded in full as part of your cancellation refund.

No Fees Deducted

We do not charge any cancellation fees, restocking fees, or administrative processing fees for cancellations approved within the 24-hour window.

Refund Method

All refunds are issued to the original payment method used at checkout. We do not issue refunds to a different payment method, card, or bank account than the one used for the original purchase. This policy is in place to protect you against unauthorized refunds to third-party accounts.

If the original payment method is no longer available — for example, if your card has been replaced by your bank — please contact us at eviesdreamlands@gmail.com and we will work with you and our payment processor to find an appropriate resolution.

Discount Codes and Promotions: If you used a promotional discount code on your cancelled order, the refund will reflect the actual discounted amount you paid — not the original pre-discount price. Discount codes that were applied to a cancelled order are not reinstated or reissued after cancellation unless we expressly notify you otherwise. If you believe a code should be reinstated, please contact us and we will review your request.

Refund Processing Timeframes

Once we confirm and approve your cancellation request, we initiate your refund immediately from our side. However, the time it takes for the refund to appear in your account depends on your payment method and your financial institution's own processing procedures, which are outside our control. The following table outlines what you can expect.

What "Business Days" Means

For the purposes of this policy, "business days" means Monday through Friday, excluding United States federal public holidays. The business days referenced in the refund timeframes above refer to the processing time at your financial institution — not at Evie's Dreamland. We initiate all approved refunds within 1 to 2 business days of confirming your cancellation.

The following federal holidays are not counted as business days: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents' Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth National Independence Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

If Your Refund Does Not Appear on Time

If the estimated refund window has passed and the funds have not appeared in your account, we recommend the following steps:

  1. Check your bank or PayPal statement carefully — refunds sometimes appear as a credit with a different transaction description than the original charge.
  2. Contact your bank or card issuer directly to ask whether a pending refund has been received on their end but not yet posted to your account.
  3. If your bank confirms no refund has been received after 10 business days from the date of our cancellation confirmation email, please contact us at eviesdreamlands@gmail.com and we will investigate with our payment processor immediately.

Partial Order Cancellations

If your order contains multiple items and you wish to cancel only some of them rather than the entire order, you may submit a partial cancellation request. Partial cancellations are subject to the same 24-hour window as full cancellations and must be submitted in the same way.

How to Submit a Partial Cancellation Request

  • Identify the items clearly: In your cancellation email, list the specific product name, variant (such as size or color), and quantity for each item you wish to cancel. Do not simply say "some items" — be as specific as possible to avoid any confusion about which items should remain in your order.
  • Confirm the items you wish to keep: To help us process your request accurately, also confirm which items you want to keep in your order. This helps us ensure we cancel only what you intend.
  • Refund calculation: If your partial cancellation is approved, we will refund the cost of the cancelled items, including any proportional sales tax refund. We will also review whether the cancellation affects your original shipping cost — for example, if cancelling an item reduces your order below a free shipping threshold, this will be reflected in your refund calculation.
  • Shipping cost adjustments: If your partial cancellation changes the total weight or value of your order in a way that affects the shipping cost originally calculated, we will notify you of the revised shipping amount before processing the refund so you know exactly what to expect.
If We Cannot Split the Order: In some cases — for example, if multiple items in your order were packaged together or if a bundle was processed as a single unit — it may not be possible to partially cancel without cancelling the entire order. If this applies to your request, we will contact you to explain the situation and offer you the choice of cancelling the full order or keeping everything as ordered.

Orders Cancelled by Evie's Dreamland

In certain limited circumstances, we may find it necessary to cancel an order on our end. We take this step only when required and always notify you promptly. If we cancel your order for any reason, you will receive a full refund of everything you paid, including the product cost, shipping, and any applicable taxes. We will never cancel your order and retain any portion of your payment.

Fraud Prevention

If our payment processor or fraud detection system flags an order as high-risk or potentially fraudulent, we may place it on hold or cancel it. We will attempt to contact you to verify the order before cancelling. If we are unable to verify it, we will cancel and issue a full refund.

Pricing Errors

If a product was inadvertently listed at an incorrect price due to a technical error on our website, we reserve the right to cancel the order. We will notify you of the correct price and give you the opportunity to re-order at the correct amount if you still wish to purchase the item.

Item Out of Stock

If an item becomes unavailable after your order was placed — due to a supplier shortage, inventory discrepancy, or discontinuation — we will cancel the unavailable item and issue a refund. If only part of your order is affected, we will contact you to confirm whether you want to proceed with the remaining items or cancel the full order.

Payment Verification Failure

If we are unable to successfully verify or capture your payment after reasonable attempts, we may cancel the order. This can occur due to an expired card, a declined payment, or a billing address mismatch that cannot be resolved. We will notify you of the issue and invite you to re-place your order with a valid payment method.

Violation of Terms of Service

If an order is placed in violation of our Terms of Service — for example, through the use of automated ordering tools, fictitious account information, or in furtherance of a prohibited use — we reserve the right to cancel the order and, in cases of confirmed fraud, withhold the refund pending investigation by the appropriate authorities.

Shipping Restriction

If your shipping address is in a location to which we are unable to deliver — due to carrier restrictions, P.O. box limitations, or regulatory constraints — we may cancel your order. We will contact you to see if an alternative address is possible before cancelling.

Orders Already Shipped

Once a shipping label has been created and your order has been handed over to a carrier, it is no longer possible to cancel the order or recall the shipment. At this stage, your options are as follows.

Accept delivery of your order and then initiate a return under our Refund Policy. This is the most straightforward option. Refuse Delivery at the Door

You may refuse to accept delivery of the package when the carrier attempts to deliver it. If you refuse delivery, the package will be returned to us by the carrier. Once we receive the returned package and verify its condition, we will refund the product cost. Please note that the original outbound shipping fee and any return shipping costs generated by the refused delivery are non-refundable unless the refusal was due to our error, a product defect, or damage in transit.
