California Consumer Privacy Act — CCPA / CPRA

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

Evie's Dreamland respects your right to control how your personal information is used. This page explains your opt-out rights and provides a simple, direct way to exercise them — no complicated steps, no runaround.

Last Updated: March 24, 2026 | Version 2.0 | CCPA & CPRA Compliant

This page is provided specifically for residents of the State of California. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (CPRA), California residents have the legal right to opt out of the sale or sharing of their personal information by businesses. This page is how you exercise that right with Evie's Dreamland, operated by World Wide Social Media LLC.

We want to be honest with you from the very start: we do not sell your personal information to any third party for money. We never have, and we have no intention of doing so. However, the CPRA's expanded definition of "sharing" — which includes making personal information available to third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising, even without any monetary exchange — means that certain advertising and analytics cookies we use on our website may technically constitute "sharing" under California law.

This page gives you a clear, simple, and legally recognized way to opt out of both the sale and the sharing of your personal information as defined under California law. You may also contact us directly by email at eviesdreamlands@gmail.com with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information."

Who This Page Is For

This page is intended for residents of the State of California, United States. The rights described on this page are granted specifically by California law — the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) — and apply only to individuals who reside in California.

This Page Applies to You If:

  • You are a current resident of the State of California
  • You have visited, browsed, or made a purchase on eviesdreamland.com
  • You have created a customer account on our website
  • You have subscribed to our marketing email list
  • You have contacted our customer service team in any way

If you are not a California resident, the specific opt-out rights on this page may not apply to you under state law. However, we encourage all of our customers to review our general Privacy Policy to understand how we handle personal information for all users, regardless of location.

About Evie's Dreamland

Evie's Dreamland is an e-commerce store selling children's products, gifts, and lifestyle goods, operated by World Wide Social Media LLC — a Limited Liability Company registered in New York, United States (EIN: 27-4608897), located at Apt 2, 458 West 143rd Street, New York, NY 10031.

For the purposes of California law, World Wide Social Media LLC is the "Business" that determines how personal information collected through eviesdreamland.com is processed and used. All privacy rights requests and opt-out requests under California law should be directed to us using the methods described on this page.

What "Selling" and "Sharing" Mean Under California Law

Before you can make an informed decision about your opt-out preferences, it is important that you understand what California law means when it uses the terms "selling" and "sharing" personal information. These definitions are broader than their everyday meanings, and understanding them will help you make better decisions about your privacy.

"Selling" Personal Information

Under the CCPA, "selling" means disclosing, making available, or otherwise communicating a consumer's personal information to a third party in exchange for monetary consideration or other valuable consideration.

This means that even if no money changes hands — for example, if personal information is exchanged for goods, services, or other non-monetary benefits — it may still qualify as a "sale" under California law.

"Sharing" Personal Information

The CPRA added a new concept called "sharing," which specifically refers to making personal information available to a third party for the purposes of cross-context behavioral advertising — even if no money changes hands.

Cross-context behavioral advertising means using information about your online activity across different websites, apps, or services to target you with personalized advertisements — often through cookies, tracking pixels, or similar technologies.

Why This Definition Matters for Our Website

Our website uses third-party analytics and advertising tools — specifically Google Analytics and similar services — that collect certain browsing data when you visit our website. These tools use cookies to track your activity across different websites and may use that data to show you targeted advertisements on other platforms.

Under the CPRA's broad definition of "sharing," making your browsing data available to these third-party tools for the purpose of cross-context behavioral advertising may qualify as "sharing" your personal information — even though we do not receive any money for this and even though the primary purpose of these tools is analytics, not advertising.

We are being fully transparent about this because we believe you deserve to know exactly how your data is being used, and because this transparency is required by California law. The opt-out form at the bottom of this page will allow you to stop this type of sharing.

Important Clarification: The sharing described above is distinct from disclosures we make to service providers who process your data on our behalf — for example, our shipping carriers (who need your address to deliver your order) or our payment processor (who needs your billing information to charge your card). Those disclosures are necessary to fulfill your order and are not considered "selling" or "sharing" under California law because those service providers are contractually prohibited from using your data for their own purposes.
3

Our Clear Statement: We Do Not Sell Your Data

Evie's Dreamland Does Not Sell Your Personal Information.

World Wide Social Media LLC has never sold personal information about any customer, prospect, or website visitor to any third party for monetary consideration. We do not have any data broker relationships, and we do not participate in any data marketplace or personal information trading arrangement of any kind.

This is not a legal technicality or a statement buried in fine print — it is a core part of how we operate our business. Your personal information is not, and never has been, a product that we sell.

Our 12-Month Look-Back Record

The CCPA requires businesses to disclose whether they have sold personal information of California residents in the preceding 12 months. We can confirm the following for the 12-month period ending on the date this policy was last updated:

Category of Personal Information Sold in Prior 12 Months? Shared for Advertising?
Identifiers (name, email, address, IP) No Possibly via analytics cookies
Order and purchase history No No
Payment card details No No
Internet browsing activity (via cookies) No Possibly via analytics cookies
Geolocation (IP-derived) No Possibly via analytics cookies
Sensitive personal information (biometric, health, etc.) No — not collected No — not collected
What "Possibly via analytics cookies" means: The "possibly" notation in the table above refers to the fact that third-party analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) may use data collected on our website to serve targeted advertising to you on other platforms. We are disclosing this as a potential "sharing" under the CPRA even though we do not receive payment for it and even though it is not our primary intent. You can opt out of this type of sharing using the form at the bottom of this page.
4

What We Do Share and With Whom

Transparency requires that we tell you not only what we do not share, but also what we do share and with whom. The following describes every type of data sharing that occurs at Evie's Dreamland, organized by the nature and purpose of the sharing.

Category 1 — Service Provider Disclosures (Not a "Sale" or "Share" Under CCPA)

The following disclosures are made to service providers who process your data on our behalf and under our instructions. They are contractually prohibited from using your personal information for any purpose other than providing services to us. These disclosures do not constitute a "sale" or "sharing" under California law.

Service Provider Data Shared Purpose
Shopify Inc. (platform host) Name, email, address, order data, browsing behavior on our store Running our e-commerce platform, order management, customer accounts
Payment processors (Shopify Payments, PayPal) Name, billing address, transaction amount Processing payment transactions securely
Shipping carriers (USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc.) Full name, shipping address, phone number (if provided) Delivering your orders to the address you specify
Email service provider Name, email address Sending order confirmations, shipping notifications, and (if opted in) marketing emails

Category 2 — Analytics and Advertising Cookies (May Constitute "Sharing" Under CPRA)

The following third-party tools may collect data about your browsing activity on our website through cookies and use that data for cross-context behavioral advertising. This may constitute "sharing" of your personal information under the CPRA, even though no money is exchanged. You have the right to opt out of this type of sharing.

Third-Party Tool Data Collected Potential Use by Third Party Opt-Out Option
Google Analytics IP address, pages visited, session duration, device and browser type Cross-site behavioral profiling, targeted advertising on Google-owned platforms Google Analytics Opt-out
Shopify analytics cookies Browsing behavior within our store, cart activity, session data Platform-wide analytics and merchant reporting Opt out via form below or cookie settings

For complete details about all cookies used on our website, please visit our Cookie Policy.

Your Right to Opt Out

As a California resident, you have the legal right under the CCPA and CPRA to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information at any time. This right is free to exercise, requires no justification, and cannot be used as a basis to deny you any products or services.

What You Are Opting Out Of

By submitting an opt-out request, you are directing Evie's Dreamland to stop making your personal information available to third parties — specifically analytics and advertising platforms — for the purpose of cross-context behavioral advertising. This means those platforms will no longer be able to use your browsing data from our website to target you with personalized ads on other platforms.

What You Are Not Opting Out Of

Opting out of the sale or sharing of your personal information does not affect the disclosures we are required to make to fulfill your orders — such as sharing your shipping address with our carrier or sharing your billing information with our payment processor. Those disclosures are necessary to deliver your purchases and are not subject to this opt-out right.

How Long Does the Opt-Out Last?

Once you submit an opt-out request, your preference will remain in effect unless you affirmatively instruct us to resume data sharing. Under California law, we are required to wait at least 12 months before asking you to opt back in to any sale or sharing of your personal information. You may also withdraw your opt-out at any time by contacting us.

How Quickly Does It Take Effect?

We will process your opt-out request and take the necessary steps to stop the applicable data sharing within 15 business days of receiving and verifying your request. We will send you a confirmation email once your opt-out has been processed. Please note that third-party platforms may take additional time to fully remove your data from their systems, which is outside our control.

Global Privacy Control (GPC)

The California Privacy Rights Act requires businesses to honor browser-level opt-out signals, including the Global Privacy Control (GPC) — a technical signal that certain browsers and browser extensions can send automatically when you visit a website to indicate that you do not want your personal information sold or shared.

How We Handle GPC Signals

If your browser or browser extension sends a GPC opt-out signal when you visit eviesdreamland.com, we treat that signal as a valid opt-out request from the sale or sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We will take steps to disable the applicable tracking technologies for your browsing session.

A GPC signal applies only to the specific browser and device from which it is sent. If you use multiple browsers or devices, you may need to configure GPC on each one, or you may submit a single opt-out request through our form below, which we will apply to your account records across all sessions.

How to Enable GPC in Your Browser

GPC is currently supported by a number of browsers and browser extensions. The following are some options that support GPC signals:

  • Brave Browser: GPC is enabled by default in Brave. No additional steps needed.
  • Firefox: You can enable GPC by installing a compatible privacy extension such as Privacy Badger or by adjusting privacy settings in Firefox Nightly builds.
  • DuckDuckGo Privacy Browser (mobile): GPC is enabled by default.
  • OptMeOwt (Chrome/Firefox extension): A browser extension specifically designed to send GPC signals.
  • Privacy Badger (Chrome/Firefox extension): Sends GPC signals and also blocks many common tracking technologies.
GPC Does Not Replace a Formal Opt-Out Request: While we honor GPC signals as required by the CPRA, a browser-based GPC signal is session-specific and may not persist between visits or across different devices. For a persistent, account-level opt-out that applies regardless of which device you use to visit our website, we recommend submitting a formal opt-out request using the form in Section 10 of this page.
7

What Happens After You Opt Out

Once you submit a valid opt-out request, here is exactly what will happen, step by step, so you know what to expect.

1
We Receive and Acknowledge Your Request

Within 5 business days of receiving your opt-out request (submitted via form, email, or mail), we will send you an acknowledgement email confirming that your request has been received and is being processed.

2
We Verify Your Identity (If Needed)

For opt-out requests, the CCPA does not require us to verify your identity to the same level as a deletion or disclosure request. However, if we are unable to identify your records from the information you provide, we may ask for a small amount of additional information (such as confirming the email address associated with your account) to ensure we apply the opt-out to the correct records.

3
We Disable Applicable Data Sharing

Within 15 business days of receiving your valid opt-out request, we will take the necessary technical steps to disable analytics and advertising cookies that share your browsing data with third parties for behavioral advertising purposes. We will also flag your customer account (if you have one) with your opt-out preference so that it is applied consistently across future visits.

4
We Notify Third-Party Service Providers

We will instruct any third-party service providers who have received your personal information to honor your opt-out request going forward. Please note that data previously shared before your opt-out request was received may remain in those providers' systems subject to their own data retention policies, which are outside our control.

5
You Receive a Completion Confirmation

Once your opt-out has been fully implemented, we will send you a confirmation email stating that your opt-out preference has been applied. This email will include the date your opt-out was processed and a description of the specific sharing that has been stopped.

6
Your Opt-Out Preference Is Honored Going Forward

Your opt-out preference is stored in our records and applied to your account indefinitely. We will not ask you to opt back in to any sale or sharing of your personal information for at least 12 months from the date your opt-out is processed, as required by California law.

8

Non-Discrimination Guarantee

Exercising Your Opt-Out Rights Will Never Affect How We Treat You

This is one of the most important protections provided by California law, and we take it very seriously. The CCPA and CPRA expressly prohibit businesses from discriminating against consumers who exercise their privacy rights. We fully honor this prohibition and go beyond what is legally required to make this guarantee absolutely clear.

If you submit an opt-out request, we will not, under any circumstances:

  • Deny you the ability to purchase any product available on our website
  • Charge you a higher price than other customers for the same products
  • Offer you a lower quality of service than customers who have not opted out
  • Exclude you from any promotions, discount offers, or loyalty programs that other customers can access
  • Process your orders more slowly or with less care than orders from other customers
  • Suggest in any way that your privacy choices have or will negatively affect your relationship with us
  • Retaliate against you in any way for exercising any right under the CCPA or CPRA

If you ever believe you have been treated differently as a result of exercising your opt-out right or any other California privacy right, please contact us immediately at eviesdreamlands@gmail.com with the subject line "Privacy Discrimination Complaint." We will investigate your concern promptly and take corrective action if needed.

Authorized Agents

California law allows you to designate another person or organization — known as an authorized agent — to submit a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" request on your behalf. This is particularly useful if you are unable to submit the request yourself due to disability, illness, or other circumstances.

Requirements for Authorized Agent Submissions

For opt-out requests specifically (as opposed to disclosure or deletion requests), the process is slightly simpler under California law. To submit an opt-out request as an authorized agent, the agent must:

1

Provide a signed, written permission from the consumer (you) authorizing the agent to submit an opt-out request on your behalf. This document must include the consumer's full name, the nature of the authorization, and the consumer's signature and date.

2

Submit the opt-out request along with the signed authorization by email to eviesdreamlands@gmail.com with the subject line "Authorized Agent — Do Not Sell or Share Opt-Out Request."

3

We may contact the consumer directly at the email address or phone number on file to confirm that the opt-out request was in fact authorized by them, as a precaution to protect against unauthorized submissions.

Note for Businesses Acting as Authorized Agents: If you are a business (rather than an individual) acting as an authorized agent on behalf of a California consumer, you must provide evidence that you are registered to do business in California and that the consumer has provided you with signed permission to submit a privacy request on their behalf. We may require this documentation before processing the opt-out request.
